About CHIMERA
CHIMERA is located just east of the Rocky Mountains in beautiful Boulder, Colorado. Incorporated in 1980, CHIMERA is the brainchild of a location photographer and a mountaineer. Together these two men developed a quality lighting product (THE LIGHTBANK) to supply photographers with studio quality lighting on location. Our first product was portable, durable, and revolutionary! Following our initial success, more products evolved and enabled CHIMERA to expand into the film and video world.
After twenty five years, CHIMERA retains its early pioneering spirit and commitment to quality. We still manufacture our products here in the United States. Products are sewn in seamstress's homes, and are individually inspected and initialed. Our stringent quality control standards remain high to best serve you. We maintain healthy inventories to meet any tight deadlines you may encounter.
